Automating internal transport where space is limited and forklifts are dominant

Everything comes together in this industrial manufacturing company: limited space, heavy forklift traffic, and a continuous production process. Within this environment, two Pallet Jacks handle the transport of pallets between buffer areas, sawing tables, and shipping. A Pallet Dispenser Silverline and a Palletrack have been installed at strategic locations to ensure the organized delivery and removal of pallets, as well as temporary storage.

The biggest challenge in this implementation was managing space and traffic on the shop floor.
To ensure safe and efficient operations:

• the AGVs stop earlier and in a controlled manner, allowing forklifts to maintain their space
• routes are designed to prevent unnecessary movements
• AGV movements are kept out of busy areas as much as possible

Not as fast as possible, but as well-suited to the environment as possible.
