Transfer pallets from plastic to wooden pallets with the Silverline Pallet Dispenser

The choice of pallets plays an important role in both internal and external logistics. In many production environments, such as the food industry, plastic pallets are used, for example, to meet strict hygiene and safety requirements. Furthermore, plastic pallets help to minimise contamination in the process and prevent disruptions.
At the same time, external transport usually requires the use of wooden pallets. This means that, at the end of the production process, products must be transferred from plastic to wood without compromising the flow or reliability of the process.

In the pallet changing machine, developed in close collaboration with our partner KOOI, goods placed on a plastic pallet are automatically transferred to a wooden pallet. Two Silverline Pallet Dispensers are integrated into this system, which handle the intake of the plastic pallets and the dispensing of wooden pallets. This is not done using forks, as our Pallet Dispensers normally do, but via a roller conveyor system.

This application was developed in collaboration with KOOI and the end customer.
By ensuring the systems are properly coordinated, the result is a solution in which:

• production and logistics are seamlessly integrated
• manual tasks are minimised
• and the process as a whole becomes more consistent and reliable

It is precisely this kind of integration that demonstrates that a Pallet Dispenser is more than just a stand-alone solution. We tailor it to suit practical needs, sometimes with specific modifications, but always with the aim of ensuring it integrates seamlessly with the process as a whole.
